A former Los Angeles-area condominium owner says he was fired after complaining about the rental rate.
Nicky Fagundes told KTLA he was told he’d have to pay a $3,000 fine and that his lease would be terminated.
But he says he never received a paycheck.
The 38-year-old told the station that he had been on disability for the past five years and could no longer work.
Faguneda says he has a long history of financial problems, including his inability to pay his rent.
He was laid off from his job last year, KTLA reported.
He said he’s now trying to make ends meet with the help of a temporary assistance program.
